Friday Memes 7/26

The Question:
How do you organize your books to be read?

My Answer:
I just put them with the rest of my books (in alphabetical order by author) and then I have a list on my dry erase board so I can keep track of them!

Hosted by: Rose City Reader

"Please join me every Friday to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires. Please remember to include the title of the book and the author's name."

Sweat, hot and salty, flowed into Errol's eyes in the sticky heat of the fall afternoon. He forced a quick blink to shed the distraction, not daring to risk the split second it would take to wipe his brow.
The Hero's Lot by Patrick W. Carr

My Thoughts
Great beginning! Makes you wonder what is so important that he can even risk a second of distraction!

LOL I don't work well with schedules apparently so the board will not work for me. I'll be distracted and rather draw than write a list to be read. LOL

Wow, that is really organised, I am much more haphazard I think, piles groaning everywhere!

I used to have my books in alphabetical order by author before it exploded with hundreds of other books. Aye...I need to be more organized or simply stop buying books...nah...

A dry erase board sounds like a great idea! I'd probably need one of the biggest ones they make. =)

Have a great weekend!

I always forget to actually wipe and add things to my boards, so they are pretty much wasted on me! I like the Book Beginnings, it sounds like you're right there in the moment with Errol!
Thanks for sharing, have a good weekend :)

I like the dry erase board. Excellent idea. Nice and simple too.

I keep an Excel spreadsheet that I can add and update. I like to see the books I have already read too. :)

Stop by for my full, organized answer if you like. :)

Happy Hopping!!

Why can't he spare the time to wipe his brow? Now I'm curious.

I keep my books in alphabetical order too. I have a blog calendar on a clipboard to show me what I need to read next.

Happy reading!

I like the sound of the dry erase board. There would be something very satisfying about erasing the completed books!

I'm afraid that there are over 1000 books on my TBR shelf, so a dry erase board would not work for me. :-)

Thanks for participating in Book Beginnings on Fridays. I don't know what to make of your book beginning. It makes me want to wash my face.

I pretty much organise my books by Authors and size. I have a scrapbooking board thing but a dry erase board sounds like a great organisation tool.
