Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

So I kinda already did a post about this awhile back but I'll do another for posterity's sake!

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
The Hobbit
The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe
Much Ado About Nothing
A Walk to Remember
The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants

Dear John

WORST

My sister does not have a very high opinion of the "Loves Comes Softly" movies. I enjoy them, but from what little of the books I have read in the series there is a difference.

Grace-We grew up reading the books and by the time the movies came out I had heard and read the books several times. The movies are ok as long as I view them as a completely different story, which they are since very little is the same in the books and movies except some of the names.

On the Love Comes Softly Series, I got to the point (around the 3rd movie) that I just had to tell myself that the only thing in common with the books were the main character's name and the title. Once I told myself that, I was fine. And I enjoy (and own) each of the movies.

I have enjoyed the prequel films though (Love Begins, Love's Everlasting Courage) and the Christmas one. Of course there was no book to compare it to.

Understandable. If someone did a movie about one of my favorite Christian Fiction books, and it wasn't the same...not very good.

Completely agree with the Love Comes Softly Series - they're nothing like the books just a whole new story with people sharing names.
Walk to Remember is a good one, the book sure made me cry though.
