MY THOUGHTS:
There was no doubt in my mind that I was going to love this story namely because it is an O'Malley story! I read this awhile ago when the author had it on her website and then just reread it so I could write this review and I loved it just as much the second time as I did the first! The only problem is that it has made me really want to reread the entire O'Malley series which isn't exactly a problem except for the fact that I have so many new books to read! The O'Malley Series have been some of my favorite books for quite awhile now, they were some of the first adult fiction I read and I've read them four times. I never get tired of them and they seem to be better each time! And now that I've ranted about how much I love the series that Jennifer is a prequel to, let me get to the actual book I'm supposed to be reviewing!
I absolutely loved the bits of Jennifer and Tom that we got to experience in the rest of the book and it was so amazing to get to read the story of how they met and fell in love. Tom is just simply amazing, he kind, caring, and sweet while having this strength about him that can't be ignored. Jennifer is also awesome with her extreme care for each of her many patients and just her overall great character! I loved how they let their relationship develop and Tom's way of introducing Jennifer to Jesus. So if you, like me, have been an O'Malley fan for years this is an absolute must read and if you haven't then this is a good place to start but you absolutely can't stop here! The O'Malley Series is not one to be missed!!!!!
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Dee Henderson is the bestselling, award-winning author of 15 previous novels, including the acclaimed O'MALLEY series and UNCOMMON HEROES series. These days, most authors are out there energetically promoting their books in print and broadcast and via social media—wherever they can get attention. But Dee Henderson keeps a low profile. She avoids telephone interviews because of hearing problems, declined to provide a current photo, and will say only that she lives in Illinois.
ABOUT THE BOOK
It's a summer of change for Jennifer O'Malley. The busy physician has a pediatrics practice in Dallas, and meeting Tom Peterson, and falling in love, is adding a rich layer to her life. She's sorting out how to introduce him to her family--she's the youngest of seven--and thinking about marriage.
She's falling in love with Jesus too, and knows God is good. But that faith is about to be tested in a way she didn't expect, and the results will soon transform her entire family.
