Nominated for the Liebster Blog Award!

Melanie from Christian Bookshelf Reviews nominated my blog for the Liebster Blog Award! Thanks Melanie!

The rules:
- Link back to the blogger that tagged you.
- Nominate ten others and answer the questions from the blogger who tagged you.
- Ask ten questions for the bloggers you nominate.
- Let your nominees know of their award.

My answers to Melanie's questions:

1. Who is your favorite author and why?
Haha this question is always the hardest since I have well over 100 authors represented on my shelves but I managed to trim my list to my 13 favorites which are listed in no particular order!
Susan May Warren-I have loved every single book I've read of SMW's and there are only two that I still need to read. She writes such a wide variety of genres and I know whenever I pick up one of her books it will be amazing whether or not the topic interests me!
Mary Connealy-Her books never fail to make me smile and they are always a fun well written read!
Dee Henderson-I have read her O'Malley and Uncommon Heroes series several times and I love them more each time they are just purely amazing!
Jenny B. Jones-Her books of hysterical and I laugh so much when reading them that I drive my sister crazy! They are so good!
Irene Hannon-Her books are just amazing! Superbly well written and very interesting plots and characters!
Ronie Kendig-Pretty much everything I said about Irene Hannon applies to Ronie Kendig as well! I love her military stories!
Karen Witemeyer- I have loved all five of the books this author has written they are some amazing historical fiction that never fail to impress!
Sarah Sundin-Absolutely astoundingly good WWII novels! Her books make me laugh, cry, and everything in between! Some of the hands down best books I've read!
Jen Turano-I loved both of this author's books so much! They are highly amusing well-written historical fiction! The author herself is pretty awesome as well!
Dani Pettrey-I love this author's books! I love the Alaskan setting and the whole McKenna clan and her books are so very good!
Jody Hedlund-An author that can make me love a book about Quakers is purely amazing! I have loved all four of her books and I love how she weaves real history in to her stories in such a beautiful way!
Lisa T. Bergen-Her River of Time Series are some of my all-time favorite books and they are so good! I also am enjoying her Grand Tour Series!
Julie Lessman-This is a recent addition to my favorites list but I recently devoured four of her books (3 of them in less than 48 hours) and absolutely loved them! I love the way she makes her characters so real and I loved the O'Conner family! Also she is is an amazingly sweet person! Whenever I leave a comment on a post by or about her I know she will take the time to reply and she is just so genuinely nice!

2. What made you want to become a blogger?
I actually didn't want to do it at all at first but my older sister convinced me to write a few reviews on her blog in exchange for getting to keep the book and I fell in love! I really got fully into it at the beginning of 2012 and I have loved every minute of it since!

3. Is there a book you didn't think you'd like, but you ended up loving it?
Several! The ones that first come to mind are:
All the Tea in China by Jane Orcutt-I was convinced I'd hate first person-oh boy was I wrong!
A Passion Redeemed by Julie Lessman-I was so afraid to read Charity's story after hating her in APMP but I ended up loving her!

4. What would be your ideal vacation spot?
I really want to visit Great Britain (mainly England and Ireland) and Germany so I would love the chance to go to any of those but besides that I'm not really a vacation person!

5. How many books are on your TBR shelf?
As of this moment I only have four books sitting on my TBR shelf though I have countless others that I want to read and my kindle is chock full of books!

6. Where is your favorite spot to read?
My bed! My parents got me a reading pillow last Christmas so I'm usually lounging on that, sitting, or laying on my stomach.

7. Which blogger has been your biggest inspiration?
I'd have to say Melanie (Christian Bookshelf Reviews)would be my biggest inspiration. So many of the things I do I found through Melanie and whenever I wonder how to do something I check her blog to see how she did it. So thank you Melanie for being such a great blogger and friend!

8. Do you prefer stand-alone novels or series?
I like them both for different reasons but if I had to pick a favorite I'd probably pick series because I love getting more of characters stories!

9. What are your other hobbies (besides reading)?
Crocheting, babysitting, and watching TV Shows!

10. What's one of your biggest book pet peeves?
Probably head-hopping. That can make me drop a book so fast and it drives me crazy. Another more random one is when the spines of books in a series don't match!

The Bloggers I Nominate
And since all of the other bloggers I thought of already were nominated for this award I'm nominating any of you who took the time to read through this post!

My Questions
1. What are some of your favorite authors and why?
2. What is one book that you REALLY can't wait to read?
3. What is your favorite time period to read about?
4. What author do you own the most books of?
5. If you could meet one author in person for a lunch date who would you pick and why?
6. What is one of your favorite books from childhood?
7. What is one of your favorite books you've read so far this year?
8. Do you prefer stand alone novels or series?
9. Do like background noise when you read or complete silence?
10. What is your favorite kind of music and what are some of your favorite artists/groups?

Yay Abbi, congrats on getting this great award! Loved your answers and having the chance to get to know you better :)

I really enjoyed your list of fave authors (i can't name just one either); so glad you ended up loving Passion Redeemed, such a touching journey for Charity; that's so cool about your special pillow when reading, would love to get one of those and avoid having stiff joints from reading too long in the same position; totally agree with you about what an inspiration Melanie is as well as a great friend.

What's head hopping? Never heard of that before. I also don't like it when the spines of the books in a series don't match :) Well said Abbi!

Congrats to the other bloggers who have been nominated, what fun! Well done, Abbi, and keep up the good work with your great blog! Blessings girl :)

Thanks for your lovely comment Kara!
The pillow is awesome I was so happy when I got it for Christmas!
Head-hopping is when the story jumps POV without any break. So the story would be being told from A's POV and suddenly you'd be getting B's thoughts.
