Friday Memes 6/20

Book Blogger Hop

The Question:
Do you prefer Nook, Kindle, other reader, or paper book?

My Answer:
I am definitely a paper book girl! You just can't beat the feel of a book in your hands! Though out of the ereaders I do prefer kindle!

"Please join me every Friday to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires. Please remember to include the title of the book and the author's name."

The girl with the haunted eyes reentered his life on the other side of a lowering casket, humidity and the shrill song of cicadas tangling together in the South Carolina heat.
A Broken Kind of Beautiful by Katie Ganshert

My Thoughts
This is a very unique and beautifully written beginning!

Oh, I agree Abbi =). I love a real-life paper-page book too, far over ebooks ^_^. Apple kindle can be good too, but it doesn't beat real books by a long shot.

By the by, last Thursday, my blog, Fullness of Joy had its 3rd birthday :). To celebrate the event, I am hosting a blog-party of "special magnificence" throughout the week, and as a cherry-top icing a fun giveaway for three winners to end it all. It will be a week long tag series, with every day or so I'll be making different literary-themed topic tags, about different genres such as the classics, fantasy, mystery, children's, etc . . which everyone can join in with. And I am dearly hoping you would - it would thrill me very much and also it should prove some fun, I think :)

Today's topic is "Historical Classics" :)

Totally agree with you too. Nothing better than holding your favourite book in your hands, the touch, the feel, the smell, always printed books for me x

I definitely love the feel of having a book in my hand, it's a thrill I'll never get over. But simply for practical reasons I tend to read on my Kindle most because I travel a lot and I simply can't log all my books with me all the time! 'A Broken Kind of Beautiful' sounds really good. I wonder where he met the girl with the haunted eyes before! Thanks for sharing :) I hope you have a great weekend!

I prefer a paper book as well but my Kindle Paperwhite is a pretty close second! What a beautiful beginning! I will have to look for the book to see if it lives up to the promise of the beginning!

It touches the heart immediately. I might have seen this title on a blog this week.

I prefer a book too. I actually tend to forget about e-books.

If I do read an e-book, I use my iPad.

Happy Hopping!!
