My Thoughts
I'm not exactly
sure where to start with this review. There were so many things I
loved about this third installment in the Grand Tour Series yet there
were a few things that bugged me. I guess I'll go ahead and get the
bad out of the way so I can end this review on a happy note!
I think the
biggest thing was that despite the fact that Will and Cora repeatedly
told each other that they were the only one for them they were
constantly battling with jealousy which really bothered me. I felt
like they should have had enough faith in each other to trust them!
And while I could kinda see where they were coming from it just
irritated me and it was more Will than Cora. It wasn't all bad though
and the author did a great job of making it all rather believable.
And now to the
good! I absolutely loved the whole setting of Italy! This author
really knows how to transport you to another country and time! I
actually almost felt like I was there! All of the little historical
tidbits were super awesome and this book is really making me want to
visit Italy!
I also loved
watching the relationships between Cora and her new family continue
to grow. It was amazing how the journey bonded them in a way that
nothing else could and also dramatically changed all of them.
Another thing that
I found really neat about this book was how Cora didn't allow money
to change who she was and how she was constantly looking for ways to
use it to better others lives. I also liked how she refused to be
told how she should do things and instead followed what she believed
to be right.
There were many
other things I could mention but I really don't want to spoil
anything and this review is already getting rather long!
