Top Ten Series/Books I Want to Reread

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

This weeks top ten was supposed to be most frustrating characters but I couldn't come up with any (not that I don't have them I just couldn't remember) so I decided to switch it up. I used to reread books all the time but I have had so many new ones that I haven't had the time. So I decided to share some of the books that I have been wanting to reread but haven't gotten the chance to. There are several that I have reread many times and want to read again but I'm not including them on this list.

The River of Time Series by Lisa T. Bergren-I have reread Waterfall already but I really want to read the rest a second time.

Mary Connealy's Books-If you hang around here at all you've probably heard me rave about Mary's books. I love them so much and have been just itching to revisit the characters!

Irene Hannon's Books-These books were pure epic but I had to wait between the books so I'd love to reread them together!

Ronie Kendig's Books-Pretty much the exact same comment from Irene Hannon's! Except I would wait to reread Trinity till Talon and Beowulf are out for the above mentioned reason.

Karen Witemeyer's Books-I fell in love with this author from her first book and the rest were just as if not more awesome. I can't wait to experience them again!

A Change of Fortune by Jen Turano-I adored every aspect of this book and as soon as it was done I wanted to read it again.

Jody Hedlund's Books-I haven't read her first yet but her other two were amazing and fast-tracked themselves to my favorites!

Jenny B. Jones Books-These books are just plain hysterical and well deserving of a reread!

Susan May Warren's Books-(can't believe I forgot her till this far down the list!) If you haven't figured it out I love SMW's books and would happily reread them all (I already have for one series)

All the Tea in China by Jane Orcutt-I read this one awhile ago and have been really wanting to reread it!

Top Ten Books/Authors I'm Thankful For

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

I'm Thankful For...

Susan May Warren-I love her books so much and I love how quickly she writes and publishes them!

Mary Connealy-Her books and the characters in them make me laugh so much and just make me happy in general!

Jen Turano-Nobody has made me laugh so much in such a short time, her books are awesome!

Jenny B. Jones-Another author who makes me laugh (can you tell I enjoy humor in books?) and whose books are phenomenal!

Karen Witemeyer-I love her books and I love how she incorporates classics in a way that makes you go and read them for yourself. Also she based a book on Seven Brides For Seven Brothers and you can't get more awesome than that!

The River of Time Series-I absolutely love these books and constantly recommend them. I get giddy happy every time I read them.

The O'Malley Series-I love getting wrapped up in the lives of this family and have read these books many times.

All the Tea in China-This book opened my eyes to the amazing world of first-person POV and showed me how amazing it is!

Love Comes Softly Series-These were some of the only books I had to read when I was transitioning for middle school books to adult books and I loved them and reread them tons of times!

The Californians-A series I read during the later end of my transition, that I loved and still love and continue rereading whenever I can!

Top Ten Books That Came Recommended

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

This week is Top Ten Tuesday Rewind where we get to pick a past topic that we either missed or just really want to do again! I chose to do my top ten books that I read due to someone's recommendation. So here's my top ten once again in no particular order!

Team Hope by Susan May Warren-I read this series on my sister Katie's recommendation and I LOVED it! It is still one of my absolute favorite series and Susan May Warren fast became my all time favorite author!

A Tailor-Made Bride by Karen Witemeyer-I had seen this book around, thought it sounded good, and planned on reading it someday, but what made me actually buy it and read it was the fact that my best friend absolutely loved it and told me I would too. I did, and I have loved all of Karen Witemeyer's other books!

All the Tea in China by Jane Orcutt-I read the plot of this one and thought it sounded good but it was written in first person which I refused to read back then (I know, silly me!). Katie swore I would like it and semi-blackmailed me into reading it. I loved it!

The Doctor's Lady by Jody Hedlund-I read Unending Devotion by this author and absolutely loved it. And the whole time I was reading it I kept hearing from people who had read TDL saying how amazing it was, so I knew I had to read it and boy am I glad I did!

When the Smoke Clears by Lynette Eason-I saw a lot of rave reviews for this book but what made me actually purchase it was how much Melanie (Christian Bookshelf Reviews) had loved it. We share a lot of the same opinions on books and when she was singing it's praises I knew I had to read it!

Waterfall by Lisa T. Bergren-Anyone who hangs around this blog at all knows that I am a HUGE River of Time fan, but I was actually kind of wary about reading a time travel book and might not have decided to read it if it wasn't for Katie!

Hollywood Nobody by Lisa Samson-I don't remember my intial thoughts about this book I just remember that Katie said I should read it so I did and I absolutely loved it!

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins-Not my normal genre but due to all the hype (and the fact that I wanted to read it before I saw the movie) I checked with Christian bloggers I trusted (like Melanie) who had read it to make sure it was a clean read. And then I proceeded to read and love it!

Julie Lessman books-I have been wanting to read these for awhile and so many people telling me I should. So this week I finally started the first book and so far I'm loving it!

A Proper Pursuit and Hidden Places by Lynn Austin-These were also recommendations from my best friend and I loved them and the other Lynn Austin book I read!

Jane Orcutt

The Baker/Revell catalog arrived in my mailbox a couple weeks ago, and I paged through it and instantly fell in love with this cover. I even showed it to my mom and sisters (I have six!) and sent a link to a friend.

The few paragraphs excerpted from All the Tea in China made me want to read it more. Though I knew Jane Orcutt was an author, I wasn't familiar with her work, but the excerpt made me feel I'd discovered another Deeanne Gist or Jane Austen.

Then came the news - Jane Orcutt died Sunday after a battle with leukemia.

Several bloggers have given glimpses of Jane's life:

Charis Connection

Robin Lee Hatcher

Donita K. Paul

B. J. Hoff

I feel as though I've lost a friend I never got to have.
