Book Beginnings: Too Close to Home

Hosted by: Rose City Reader

"Please join me every Friday to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires. Please remember to include the title of the book and the author's name."

Too Close to Home by Lynette Eason
"Wake up, partner," the voice rumbled in his ear as Conner Wolfe's sleep-drugged mind struggled to keep up. "We've found another body. In a dumpster behind the BI-LO off East Main."

My Thoughts
Great opening! I was immediately drawn in and curious. I think the key word is "another". Finding a body is intriguing enough but another implies so much and raises tons of questions! Loved it!
