Once again I was blown away by this author's amazing talent! This book like the previous three, was beautifully written and chock full of rich historical details. I love how all four of the books are so intricately woven together. The author seamlessly connected the lives of men and women from four very different areas.
Sophie was a fantastic heroine, I loved how she stuck to her convictions even when it involved great personal risk and would have been much easier for her to just give in.
As for Harrison, it was so awesome to see his story come full circle. He was an intriguing character in previous books and I was delighted to find that he was the hero of this one! And what a hero he was! Like Sophie he stood for what was right, risking everything in order to bring about freedom for others.
This whole book was amazing and the perfect end to a brilliant series!

ABOUT THE BOOK
As Sophie's spy network grows, she walks a tightrope of deception, using her father's position as newspaper editor and a suitor's position in the ordnance bureau for the advantage of the Union. One misstep could land her in prison, or worse. Suspicion hounds her until she barely even trusts herself. When her espionage endangers the people she loves, she makes a life-and-death gamble.
Will she follow her convictions even though it costs her everything-and everyone-she holds dear?
