Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling

About the Series
Harry Potter is a series of seven fantasy novels written by British author J. K. Rowling. The series chronicles the adventures of a young wizard, Harry Potter, the titular character, and his friends Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger, all of whom are students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The main story arc concerns Harry's quest to defeat the Dark wizard Lord Voldemort, who aims to become immortal, conquer the wizarding world, subjugate non-magical people, and destroy all those who stand in his way, especially Harry Potter.

My Thoughts
There have probably been millions of reviews written about these books and I was sorely tempted to not even try to contribute my thoughts. But I made a goal of reviewing every book I read this year so here I am. I am fudging it a bit by doing the whole series instead of book by book but it is just way easier this way.
Growing up my parents weren't a fan of the wizarding aspect of these books so I didn't get the chance to grow up with the characters like so many others. Thankfully these books are enjoyable even for adults. They did start out with a bit of a juvenile feel which I fully expected and it really wasn't bad. The books just got better and better and I definitely think book six was my favorite.

I enjoyed all of the characters even though several annoyed me here and there. I can definitely see what all the hype is about and I will most definitely be sharing these with my future kids!

I love how the books grow in depth and emotion with the characters! Have you seen the movies? I highly recommend them. They are some of the best book - to - movies I've seen, in my opinion :D

So glad you enjoyed the series! I just finally read it for the first time as well late last year and earlier this year. The last book was my favorite, followed by Goblet of Fire!

Shannah-Me too! I've seen the first few movies but since I am watching them with my sister-in-law and my sister and coordinating our schedules is a bit hard! I liked the ones I've seen so far!

acps927-Glad I'm not the only one who waited so long!
