Waiting on Wednesday #65: A Talent for Trouble

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event that spotlights upcoming releases that we're
eagerly anticipating.

This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection is:

A Talent for Trouble by Jen Turano
Bethany House-October 1, 2013

About the Book
Miss Felicia Murdock firmly believed her destiny was to become a minister's wife. When the minister on whom she had set her sights marries another lady, Felicia is forced to take a close look at her life and comes to a few uncomfortable conclusions. Determined that something needs to change--and soon--Felicia discovers she is finally ready to spread her wings and embrace life the way she's always wanted.
Grayson Sumner--or Lord Sefton, as he's officially known--has had more than enough of spreading his wings and only hopes to settle into the life of a normal, respectable New York gentleman. Prompted by some well-meaning friends to lift the spirits of the disappointed-in-love Miss Murdock, he is surprised to encounter a young lady who seems to have become quite adventurous and quite determined to get herself into all sorts of troublesome situations.

Intent on remaining independent, Felicia is reluctant to accept Grayson's help, especially as she finds herself developing feelings for him. However, just as Grayson decides he's had quite enough of her antics, his past comes back to haunt him and his presence in her life has endangered Felicia. Will Grayson and Felicia decide they want to spend the rest of their lives keeping one another out of trouble?

Why I Want It
I absolutely loved Jen Turano's debut book and I was elated to learn about not only her second book, A Most Peculiar Circumstance, but this third one!

I have liked both of the stories I have read by Jen Turano. I am also waiting on this one and for "A Most Peculiar Circumstance." I was hoping that there would be a book about Agatha, though. She was my favorite character.

I loved A Change Of Fortune too! And I can't for this one and A Most Peculiar Circumstance, I can't wait to meet Arabella, and I am so excited for the fireworks show that I am sure will happen when Arabella meets Theodore!!! :) LOL!

Grace-I love Agatha too! She actually does get her own book!! It's her and Zayne's story! This is what she said in an interview:
"Currently untitled – is Miss Agatha Watson and Mr. Zayne Beckett’s story. This story has a delightful pig named Matilda I just couldn't resist adding into the plot. Matilda is almost as much trouble as Agatha is, and poor Zayne has his hands full throughout the story.

Caitlyn-Me too!

That's great, Abbi! I did not know that! I love Agatha too so I am now really excited about that one too! :)

Abbi - thank you so much for looking forward to A Talent for Trouble:) I'm just turning in the galleys now, and I think it's turned out rather cute - there's just something about a slightly brooding gentleman, and Mr. Grayson Sumner is certainly that in this story - and Felicia - well, bless her heart, she just keeps finding herself in all sorts of trouble, quite by accident of course:) I just finished a first draft of book one in a new series, and I have to mention - there's a rather meddling lady by the name of Mrs. Abigail Hart - and she's decided to take three younger ladies in hand and get them on the right path - I do wonder where I came up with that particular name????;)

All the best, and thank you everyone for your fabulous interest in my books -

Jen Turano-You just made my day with your comment! I loved your thoughts on your characters and I literally squealed at the fact that one of your characters has my name! That is the most awesome thing ever!

I thought you might like that Abbi - no promises - because I haven't actually gotten this particular story approved yet, but it's fun - sort of like a rags to riches theme - I didn't want readers to get bored - so the main character is Miss Harriet Peabody - she makes hats - and she comes into contact with Mr. Oliver Addleshaw - he's incredibly wealthy - with one goal in life - to surpass the income of C. Vanderbilt - an unlikely alliance is formed - and then all mayhem happens - which is when Abigail Hart enters the picture and she, being somewhat, er, bossy, takes control - she's a hoot - I'll let you know when I find out if the book is going to make it into print. Have a great week - I'm heading out this week to travel back to my hometown for a high school reunion - and no, I'm not saying which one it is - makes me sound entirely too old - ancient in fact:)
