Friday Memes 8/14

Book Blogger Hop

The Question:
Are you ever without a book?

My Answer:
I am often without a physical copy of a book but since I have my phone with the kindle app I always have something nearby to read! If I am going to be anywhere for an extended time or if I know there will be time to read I'll usually bring a book but I more often than not just leave my books at home. I do take them to work with me since I nanny a baby so I can read during her naps!

"Please join me every Friday to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires. Please remember to include the title of the book and the author's name."

"Consider yourself dismissed...effective immediately."
Miss Millie Longfellow squinted against the bright light that suddenly filled the cluttered broom closet she was standing in, resisting a sigh when Mrs. Cutling loomed into view.
In Good Company by Jen Turano

My Thoughts
Knowing what I knew about Millie from the previous book it was pretty easy to surmise what was going on but it did leave me curious as to why she was in the broom closet!

I'm jealous of you being able to read at work. :-) I miss those days when my little one would nap. She still should but she refuses.

I'm definitely curious as to why she's in a broom closet!

Have a great rest of the week!
