Friday Memes 4/5

The Question:
What book have you've been meaning to read forever AND you finally did?

My Answer:
I actually have a few of those that came to mind when I first heard the question:
Finding Marie by Susan Page Davis-I read the first book in this series YEARS ago and just finally got around to reading this second one!
A Katie Parker Production Series by Jenny B. Jones-For starters my sister had the 3rd in this series for quite a few years and I had always wanted to read it but didn't have the first two and then I read this author's other books and wanted to read these even more. They weren't easy to find cheap though so I waited and ended up getting them for Christmas.
The Homelanders by Andrew Klaven-These intrigued me when I first saw them and then when my brother (who dislikes reading) couldn't put them down I knew I had to read them. But I kept putting them off, trying to finish the books I own till finally I bought one of them just so I'd have an excuse to read them all!
Weddings by Bella Series by Janice Thompson-Kept seeing these around and really wanted to read them but they just never were high on my list. I hade book one on my kindle for ages and then when I found books 2&3 cheap I finally read them.
And there are a bunch of others but I'll leave it at that!

Dr. Matt Newman knew all about the high. He'd experienced it many times. The high was intoxicating, even when the low inevitably followed. Of course, sometimes there was no high at all, no pleasure, only the sadness, the melancholy. How many times had Matt asked himself if it was worth it?
Stress Test by Richard L. Mabry, M.D.

My Thoughts
Very interesting start. Since I knew he was a doctor my mind imediately made the jump to the high that comes from saving a life which was the case in this instance. But regardless of that this was a very cool way to open a book!

I love that feeling when you finally sit down to read a book you have wanted to read so badly! The only high I know is an adrenaline high and that is totally worth the low afterwards! I'm an old follower!

I'd love for you to join my giveaway of 'Arabella's Shadows', all you have to do is leave your name and email address in a comment!

I've actually never heard of any of these!

I understand reading one book years ago and needing to read the rest though... I started all of these fantasy novels that my first boyfriend gave to me, and when we broke up, I forgot about them all because they reminded me of him... but now... yeaaaaaars later, I find myself thinking about them again and thinking, "I need to finish those series" LOL.
