The Catch by Lisa Harris

About the Book
After a harrowing attempt on a judge's life at the courthouse, Deputy US Marshals Madison James and Jonas Quinn are tasked with finding a missing woman and an endangered child in connection to the murder of the judge's wife. What seems like a fairly straightforward case becomes hopelessly tangled when the marshals discover that the woman they are searching for is not who they think she is.
Madison and Jonas are forced into a race to find the woman and the child before the men who want her dead discover her location. And in a final showdown that could cost her everything, Madison will come face-to-face with the person who murdered her husband.
USA Today bestselling author Lisa Harris concludes her thrilling US Marshals series with this breathless tale of secrets kept, lies exposed, and ultimately, justice prevailing.

My Thoughts
This series has been an amazing ride and this book was the perfect conclusion!
I loved how the author balanced the conclusion to the mystery behind who had killed Madison’s husband with the new case of trying to find a missing woman and baby. It never felt like there was too much going on and I was invested in both outcomes! There were countless twists and turns as well as plenty of page turning action that kept me hooked into the story and reading as fast as I could!
Jonas and Madison have been fantastic characters throughout the whole series and their slow burn romance has been building with expert timing and it was so fun to finally see them get together!
In short I completely enjoyed this book and highly recommend the whole series!

The Traitor's Pawn by Lisa Harris

About the Book
When FBI agent Jack Shannon arrives in Corpus Christi, Texas, he is focused on one thing: find the man who has been selling encrypted government secrets to the Chinese through online birding chat rooms. But when a senator is shot during a hunting trip and the woman he was with is abducted, Jack agrees to join the search--especially when he discovers that the kidnapping victim is Aubrey Grayson, a woman he was once in love with.
As the search continues, it becomes clear the senator may not have been the intended victim--and Aubrey may be connected to the other case Jack is supposed to be working on. Can Jack untangle the knots before it's too late? And when he learns the truth, will it be too painful to get past?
Join the hunt for the truth--and a traitor--in this tension-laden story of secrets, betrayal, and second chances.

My Thoughts
Lisa Harris has quickly earned a name for herself in the Christian romantic suspense world and I have enjoyed many of the novels she has written.
This story starts off with what you think is a serene moment but things quickly take off and leave you trying to piece together the pieces of what is happening. There are a lot of moving parts in this story but the author brings them all together in the end.
We spent a lot of time in the characters’ heads, whether it was thinking about their past or just mentally going over the current circumstances. Personally I would have preferred more in the moment showing rather than all the telling.
The Jack and Aubrey both had a passion for justice and they showed that in the way they chased after every clue in their case. The fact that they had been friends since childhood allowed them to work well together despite having not seen each other for years. There wasn’t a lot of romance, more of a reflecting on past feelings and seeing if they had changed but it worked for the story.
This book wasn’t quite the action-packed suspense I was hoping for but I’m sure other lovers of this genre will find much to enjoy.

Deadly Intentions by Lisa Harris

About the Book
Research scientist Caitlyn Lindsey is convinced that someone is taking out her team one by one. First, a friend and research partner was killed in a home invasion. Three months ago, her boss died in a suspicious car accident. Four days ago, another partner supposedly committed suicide. And now Caitlyn herself has miraculously survived a hit-and-run. Afraid for her life with nowhere to turn, she reaches out to one of the victim's husbands, Detective Josh Solomon.
Though initially skeptical about Caitlyn's theory, Josh soon realizes that the attack that took his wife's life was anything but random. Now the two of them must discover the truth about who is after Caitlyn's team--and what their end game is--before it's too late.
In this nail-biting thriller, award-winning author Lisa Harris will have you believing that there's no such thing as random.

My Thoughts
Well you definitely can’t call this a slow-paced book! From the very beginning until the very end there was always something going on! This book was like a full season of an action show condensed into 300 pages. There were murders, cover ups, frame jobs, secrets, lies, fugitives, bio-terrorism, and even more (that I can’t mention because of spoilers)! Things never slowed down for even a chapter and you couldn’t tell who you could and couldn’t trust! I was convinced for so long about someone being dirty only to find that I was completely off base! You really had no idea how everything would play out!
The end did get a little chaotic for me and some parts felt slightly unbelievable. Especially the romance which started playing out at a good pace but then there was a moment where it abruptly kinda went zero to sixty and it didn’t feel very natural.
But that aside I did enjoy the characters and I was certainly not bored! Every page had a new twist and it had me finishing this book just hours after starting!

A Secret to Die For by Lisa Harris

About the Book
Psychologist Grace Callahan has no idea that she has a secret--one worth killing for. But when she finds out one of her clients has been murdered, she quickly realizes that the computer security specialist wasn't simply suffering from paranoia.
Detective Nate Quinn has just been cleared for active duty after a bombing killed eighteen people, including his partner, and left him dealing with PTSD. His first case back on the job involves the murder of Stephen Shaw, and his only lead turns out to be an old friend, Grace Callahan--and her life is in grave danger. Someone believes Shaw gave his psychologist information before he died. Information they are willing to kill for.

With her signature pulse-pounding suspense, Lisa Harris takes readers deep into the heart of fear in this race against the clock.

My Thoughts
Lisa Harris certainly knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat! From the very first sentence to the very last I was completely sucked into this story! It almost felt like an episode of a crime show (which I love) but with a deeper look into everything.
Grace and Nate had a bit of a unique relationship. They had known each other in college when Nate’s best friend was dating Grace but they’d lost touch. Now they meet again under very crazy circumstances. I really appreciated how the author handled their relationship. Even though the story takes place over a short period of time things didn’t seemed rushed and flowed at a natural pace. They were getting to know each other again, building on what they’d known in the past and discovering who the other had become in their years apart. They both had experienced trauma that deeply affected them but they were able to confide in each other and help the other work through things.
I loved the suspense and mystery of the story, racing against the clock with the characters to piece together everything before it was too late. I did guess part of it but it still kept me turning pages till everything met a satisfying conclusion.

This book was non-stop and I absolutely recommend it for all lovers of romantic suspense!

Vanishing Point by Lisa Harris

About the Book
During Garrett Addison's first week on the job as a criminal investigator for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, his team is called out to a murder scene of a young girl. She's the third victim in a string of disappearances with one thing in common--a Polaroid photo of each victim left behind at the crime scene.
The FBI is pulled into the case to help, and Garrett finds himself working with Special Agent Jordan Lambert, the woman he once loved. When yet another girl dies--number six--Garrett blames himself and believes he doesn't have what it takes to be an agent. What he'll discover is that, while he may be done with the killer, the killer is not done with him--or Jordan.

Bestselling and award-winning author Lisa Harris unveils an unforgettable story of a case that has haunted the public and law enforcement for more than a decade. Fans of the Nikki Boyd Files will thrill to finally discover what actually happened to Nikki's sister, Sarah. New readers will become instant fans after devouring this chilling tale.

My Thoughts
This book was amazing and I couldn't devour it fast enough and was picking it up every spare second. Despite a non-stop schedule I had this book finished in around 24 hours and it kept me up way later than I intend even though I was exhausted. I loved the three Nikki Boyd novels and the story of the Angel Abducter and what had happened to Sarah had intrigued me immensely. I loved getting to see the case from almost the beginning and even though I knew they wouldn't solve it for many years I was still on the edge of my seat as they chased down leads and raced against the clock. We got some answers in the previous books but with this one we got details in more of a first hand manner and we finally got the whole story with an ending. The story is spread out over the course of more than a decade picking up each time a girl was abducted and leaving off when the case began to grow cold. Initially I wouldn't expect that kind of writing to work but it did and it all flowed brilliantly. It never felt chopped up and it ended and began at the right times.
I really liked both Garrett and Jordan's characters. Garrett had his priorities straight and didn't let money change his values. Instead choosing the hard path that allowed him to actually do good in the world. He was that guy always quietly doing what needed to be done, seeing even unspoken needs, and never wanting any recognition for it. Jordan was extremely smart and hard-working, doing whatever necessary to get a job done. She was very focused on her job but she still had a close relationship with her family that I admired. They had once been in a serious relationship until the FBI called Jordan away and they slowly lost touch. The Angel Abducter case brought them together again but with Jordan living in another state they didn't really get the chance for anything to fully develop between them. But there were definitely moments and it was obvious to everyone around them that they were meant for each other. Unfortunately life and their own stubborness kept pulling them apart. And normally that would drive me a little crazy but the way the author did it made it make sense and it didn't even really bother me.
In short this book was fantastic, wonderfully written, and I absolutely loved it! This is technically Nikki Boyd #4 and I loved reading it after the first one but it also could be read stand-alone or even before the others. But that would take away some of the mystery from those stories. But regardless of what order you choose I just recommend that you go get your hands on them!

Pursued by Lisa Harris

About the Book
Nikki Boyd's flight into Nashville was routine--up until the crash landing at the airport. When the dust settles, Nikki discovers that the woman who had been seated next to her on the plane is missing--and no one will admit she was ever there. Erika Hamilton had been flying to Nashville with an air marshal as a key witness in an upcoming grand jury trial. When she flees from the crash, is she running from trouble or straight into it? Before Nikki can even see her family, she and her team are pulled into a missing persons case where the motives are as unclear as the suspects.

Bestselling and award-winning author Lisa Harris has planted danger around every turn in this can't-put-it-down thrill ride that will leave readers stunned.

My Thoughts
This author definitely knows how to launch you into the story! From the plane crash in the very first chapter till the case gets wrapped up there is non-stop action to keep you on the edge of your seat! I honestly don't know how one person could handle everything Nikki went through, especially in such a short time! Nikki is definitely a heroine to be admired. She has a fierce determination and desire to protect and she won't give up until the case is resolved. Tyler is really great too, though we don't get to see much of him. But I loved the way he was always there for Nikki without pushing her. They really are a great couple and I enjoyed seeing their story play out.

This story never slowed down and I couldn't stop reading to see what was going to happen next! Definitely an adventure from page one and I highly recommend this series!

Missing by Lisa Harris

About the Book
Nikki Boyd Enters the Deadly World of Counterfeit Drugs to Find a Missing Woman
Nikki Boyd isn't usually called in on homicides; her forte is missing persons. But when a case with two murdered and two missing pops up on a quiet suburban street, she's ready to start the investigation and find missing homeowners Mac and Lucy Hudson. When the first clues lead her to the boat of her friend Tyler Grant--and another dead body--Nikki must untangle what ties Tyler to the Hudsons. The clues pull her into a deadly maze of counterfeit drugs and a killer who will stop at nothing to silence anyone who threatens his business--including Nikki.

Christy Award-winning and bestselling author Lisa Harris puts readers right into the action in this fast-paced thriller that will have them turning pages long into the night.

My Thoughts
Lisa Harris knows how to take her readers for a wild adventurous ride and this book was no different. After meeting the characters in Vendetta I was interested to get more of their story and see how things would continue to play out. Nikki and Tyler's relationship is slightly complicated, they started as friends when Tyler married Nikki's best friend Kate. But Kate died in a tragic accident and as time has passed Nikki has started to see Tyler as more than a friend, though she keeps these feelings to herself in fear of ruining their friendship. Despite all that they make a great couple and I can't wait to see where things will go with them!
The action was fast paced and kept me on my toes with lots of unexpected twists. There was quite a lot going on but the author did a great job of making it all fit together clearly.
Everything about this book was well done and I'm eagerly anticipating book three!
