This book took me a little while to get into-the story started off a bit disjointed and slow-and I almost stopped reading but then I read a review that said it got good about 80 pages in. So I decided to read that far and thankfully the reviewer was right and the story did pick up enough that I was able to not only finish the book but also enjoy it.
The author did a great job of keeping me guessing throughout the story as to who could be trusted and who couldn't. And after the initial slowness I was caught up in the plot and kept turning pages to see what would happen next.
All of the characters were pretty great from Laurel and Daniel to Abby and Earl, and I enjoyed watching their stories play out. I especially loved the enduring love that Abby and Earl shared. Laurel and Daniel's relationship didn't always make sense/flow right but in the end it all worked out.
In short this was an entertaining romantic suspense!
